All last-minute necessities have been procured, gas tank filled - an hour packing and I'll be as ready as a person could be. 18 hrs to launch.

It's not differentiated at all, but the image below is a video walking through my vehicle setup with all the equipment to support the amateur radio aspect of the trip. Click the photo to get to Flickr and watch it if you're interested.

Whoa! Getting close.
So there are a few situations which will make this site a little less up-to-date than I planned on.
- APRS infrastructure: If there's not a good digipeater nearby (I'm nearly certain someone will have one up) it will cause all the position information that comes here to not come in reliably. This one's totally out of my hands.
- Cellular infrastructure: Everything runs with the fundamental assumption that I will have internet on my phone. If that doesn't happen, I'll be limited to the five or six areas on the park that have WiFi available. I'm /really/ hoping there's good infrastructure. With this many people there surely the cellular companies are putting up temporary towers, etc. I've called people who were at Oshkosh before and never heard about these sorts of problems. But it's possible.

Just arrived at Pagliai's Pizza in Grinnell, IA, recommended by Ryan. After dinner, I'll fuel the car and head to Rockford, Illinois for the night. The Lawrence to Grinnell nonstop wasn't bad at all (291 mi) so I'm hopeful the next leg (240 mi) can be nonstop as well.
