Simple - it's an experiment.


When I'm awake, I'm probably thinking of ways to do cool1 things. Or what cool1 thing I'm going to do next. I enjoy playing with an extremely wide variety of technologies and seeing how tightly I can integrate them. It doesn't always (in fact rarely ever) serve a practical purpose, but it sure is fun! I am truly a geek and I fully embrace that. I fully embrace what Doc Brown2 said - "If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything."

To be more specific about this specific site it's what I consider a modified tumblelog3 to aggregate everything from two-way GPS tracking, microblog comments from myself (some coming from my Twitter account, photos from my phone and cameras, and a few other things that aren't publicly visible. It's all powered by Django4 which makes the craziest things I can think of for the internet only take a couple weeks to finish. Most of the time. Django can be a lot like airplanes, though - When you've got 90% done, you've got 90% to go.
